Your adventure begins with the gentlest of the three peaks, Mt. Gahinga. After a hearty breakfast and briefing, you’ll head into Mgahinga Gorilla National Park for a day hike through bamboo forests and open moorlands. The summit rewards you with views of a scenic crater swamp and the surrounding valleys.
Return to your lodge in the afternoon and enjoy a relaxed evening by the fire.

Often considered the most technical of the three, Mt. Sabinyo offers a rugged trail with ladders and ridgelines that lead to a tri-border point — where Uganda, Rwanda, and the DRC meet. This is a challenging but incredibly rewarding trek with panoramic views from all angles.
Expect an early start and a full-day adventure. After descending, return to your lodge for a well-earned rest.

The final climb is the tallest of the Virunga peaks in Uganda — Mt. Muhabura. Its name, meaning “The Guide,” fits the imposing nature of this conical giant. This hike is the most demanding in terms of elevation gain but offers spectacular sights, including a beautiful crater lake at the summit.
You’ll enjoy a packed picnic lunch with sweeping views, then descend and celebrate the completion of your triple challenge with a special local dinner.

After breakfast, take a leisurely walk through the surrounding community or opt for a short visit to the Home of Kigezi cultural center before departing. This optional add-on is a great way to wind down after days of climbing.
